Description For FY25 Intern - CPU Power, Performance and Limits Management Engineering Internship

Qualcomm, a global leader in wireless technology innovation for over 30 years, is seeking talented interns for their CPU Power and Limits Management team in Canada. This exciting opportunity is part of their 2025 intern class, focusing on next-generation SoC development.

The role involves working on cutting-edge CPU Power, Performance, and Limits management Firmware Development. As an intern, you'll be part of a team developing and debugging tools for performance management profiling in next-generation SoCs. This position offers hands-on experience with embedded systems, firmware development, and advanced compute products.

You'll work alongside industry experts who are passionate about innovation and willing to share their knowledge. The position requires strong programming skills in C and Python, combined with a solid understanding of embedded development and computer architecture concepts. This internship is perfect for students interested in low-level software development and hardware interaction.

The internship offers real-world experience in one of tech's most innovative companies, working on technologies that power smartphones, autonomous vehicles, and IoT devices. You'll gain valuable experience in firmware development, debugging complex systems, and working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements For FY25 Intern - CPU Power, Performance and Limits Management Engineering Internship

Python
  • Excellent programming skills in C, Python
  • Sound knowledge of embedded development; RTOS concepts
  • Ability to debug, root cause, and resolve FW issues
  • Solid understanding in Computer Architecture/microarchitecture concepts
  • Basic understanding of Microcontroller/Microprocessor programming
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal communications skill
  • Must be pursuing bachelors in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field
  • Must be available May 2025 - May 2026 or May 2025 - August 2026
  • Must be returning to university after the internship
