Job Description

Qualcomm, the world leader in wireless ICs and largest fabless semiconductor company, is seeking a Graduate/Junior GPU Integration Engineer for their Graphics team in Cork, Ireland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on Qualcomm's cutting-edge Adreno Graphics cores, focusing on implementation and methodology. The position bridges RTL integration and physical design, requiring collaboration with graphics microarchitecture and physical design teams.

The role involves working with state-of-the-art GPU technology, handling everything from RTL integration to physical design. You'll be responsible for implementing and developing GPU cores, working with synthesis tools, performing timing analysis, and managing design goals in power, performance, and area. Responsibilities For Graduate/Junior GPU Integration Engineer - Cork, Ireland

  • RTL integration through to physical design
  • Integrate, implement and develop state of the art GPU cores
  • Work with graphics microarchitecture and physical design teams
  • Implementation and delivery of GPU cores from RTL to GDSII
  • Work with design team to create RTL builds
  • Identify areas for flow and process improvements
  • RTL synthesis using physically aware tools
  • Formal Verification for RTL-netlist and netlist-netlist checks
  • Close design timing by running static timing analysis and constraint development
  • Managing design goals in power, performance and area

Requirements For Graduate/Junior GPU Integration Engineer - Cork, Ireland

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • 0-5 years relevant industry experience
  • Digital design and RTL development understanding using Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • Basic level knowledge of synthesis, static timing, timing closure, constraints and formal verification
  • Exposure to Synopsys Design Compiler tools, Conformal LEC, Synopsys Formality and Synopsys PrimeTime
  • Experience with UNIX, Perl, TCL or shell scripting (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
