Job Description

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Staff-level Multimedia Customer Support Engineer for their IoT division in Taipei. This role sits at the intersection of software development and customer engineering, focusing on IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms.

The position involves working with OEM/ODM partners to design and develop IoT devices, with a special focus on multimedia systems including display, audio, and camera drivers. You'll be responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing technical expertise, and ensuring successful product commercialization.

As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll work with global teams of experts to develop next-generation IoT products. Your responsibilities will span from driver integration and development to system debugging and performance optimization. The role requires strong technical skills in embedded systems, Linux/Android development, and kernel-level programming.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in software development, particularly with C/C++ and embedded systems. Knowledge of Linux kernel driver development, boot optimizations, and power management is crucial. Experience with Windows/Linux/Android framework integration and Qualcomm chipset development would be advantageous.

Responsibilities For (IOT) Multimedia Customer Support Engineer Linux and Windows, up to Staff (Taipei)

  • Work with OEM/ODM to design & develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms
  • Resolve feature development and product commercialization issues
  • Display driver support for eDP/DP/MIPI/HDMI interface and bridge IC integration
  • Audio driver support for I2S/SoundWire/Slimbus interface and 3rd party codec integration
  • Camera driver support for MIPI interface and camera sensor porting
  • Integration, development, and system debugging on OEM designs
  • Customize Multimedia software drivers for OEM
  • Provide multimedia performance measurement, analysis, and optimization
  • Create application notes, technical memo, and provide training to customers
  • Partner with external customers to understand requirements
  • Handle customer Q&A and work closely with internal developers

Requirements For (IOT) Multimedia Customer Support Engineer Linux and Windows, up to Staff (Taipei)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years Software Applications Engineering or Software Development experience
  • 3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++
  • 3+ years experience with embedded system
  • Experience in Linux/Android software development in user space and kernel space
  • Experience in Linux Kernel driver development
  • System level issues debugging with JTAG or gdb tool
