Job Description

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a talented Staff CPU RTL Design Engineer for their Cork, Ireland office. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge CPU development for high-performance, low-power devices.

The position involves working closely with chip architects to conceive micro-architecture and contribute to product definition from early stages. Key responsibilities include performance exploration with the CPU modeling team, microarchitecture development, RTL ownership, and supporting both functional and performance verification processes.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in microprocessor architecture, particularly in areas such as instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction, out-of-order execution, and cache systems. Strong technical skills in Verilog/VHDL and scripting languages like Python are essential, along with a thorough understanding of low-power microarchitecture techniques.
