Description For Validation and Integration (VI) Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Validation and Integration (VI) Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on pre-silicon system validation and emulation, and post-silicon verification of Qualcomm IPs. The position requires a strong foundation in both hardware and software, combined with excellent analytical and debugging capabilities.

The VI Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that Qualcomm IPs meet specified new product introduction milestones and are ready for mass production. Key focus areas include Analog/Digital Audio, Power Management Units (PMU), battery management, clock management, auxiliary functions, peripherals, and system power optimization.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with expertise in Python, C, and R Language programming. They should have a solid understanding of semiconductor circuits, signal processing, and audio systems. The role involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Digital Design, Analog Design, and Firmware/Software Engineers.

Responsibilities For Validation and Integration (VI) Engineer

  • Contribute to requirements capture and programme reviews
  • Develop validation plans, identify hardware/software test resources and implementation strategy
  • Develop test systems and automation of moderate scale and complexity
  • Conduct peer reviews for test scripts, data analysis scripts and hardware
  • Participate in pre-silicon emulation-based design verification
  • Participate in post silicon bring up, validation, compliance testing and debug
  • Debug of hardware including defect investigation
  • Test execution and data manipulation to confirm validity of results
  • Collate, summarize, and present validation data for technical reviews

Requirements For Validation and Integration (VI) Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Ability to produce automation with Python, C and R Language
  • Knowledge of C#, System Verilog
  • Good knowledge of analogue and digital semiconductor circuits
  • Experience with signal processing and audio knowledge
  • Knowledge of lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, audio analysers)
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Good cross-function coordination and collaboration skills
