Job Description

As a Software Engineer II on our Data and Insights team, you'll be at the forefront of building systems that help customers understand and respond to experience data from their customers and employees. This role combines the excitement of working with cutting-edge predictive analytics and AI/ML with the satisfaction of creating tangible business impact.

You'll be joining a nimble team focused on bringing predictive analytics to the next level, working on products like StatsiQ, Crosstabs, Predict iQ and Advanced Analytics Widgets. Our mission is to facilitate the journey from discovery to anticipation while lowering the burden of time and expertise, enabling people to take informed, empathetic actions to improve human experiences.

The role offers a unique blend of technical challenges and business impact. You'll be working in an agile environment, designing systems to withstand hyper-growth while maintaining quality from end to end. You'll collaborate closely with platform teams to ensure tight integration while having the flexibility to choose architectures and independently deliver on business vision.

We offer a supportive growth environment where you'll spend 10% of your time on individual engineering development activities each quarter. You'll participate in personalized Career Action Planning, working with your manager to design a path aligned with your values and aspirations. The hybrid work model balances collaboration (three office days per week) with flexibility to work from anywhere else.

The ideal candidate brings 2-5 years of full-stack experience and strong computer science fundamentals, combined with excellent communication skills and a passion for solving complex problems. You'll be working with technologies like React, JavaScript, Python, and modern web frameworks, while having the opportunity to shape the future of experience management technology.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II - Data and Insights

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance
  • Work closely with and incorporate feedback from other engineers, tech-ops, and product managers
  • Lead and engage in design reviews, architectural discussions, requirement definitions and other technical activities
  • Collaborate with peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to customers
  • Develop widgets for clear data visualizations in dashboards and reports
  • Be the bridge between data value and customer workflows

Requirements For Software Engineer II - Data and Insights

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance
  • 2-5 years working in a full-stack web engineering position
  • Ability to work both independently on ambiguous problems and in highly collaborative team environments
  • Experience using React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Python
  • Experience with continuous delivery, git, test automation and build/deploy systems
  • Experience with technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers
