Description For Internship - Optical/photonic engineer - characterisation module to measure TEM

Quandela, a pioneering spin-off company from the French national laboratory CNRS, is at the forefront of photonic quantum computing technology. Founded in 2017 and strategically located in the southern suburbs of Paris, with main offices in Massy and fabrication facilities in the Paris-Saclay deep-tech campus, we're developing comprehensive photonic quantum computing platforms.

We're seeking a passionate intern to join our innovative team and contribute to cutting-edge optical systems development. As part of both R&D and system production teams, you'll work on developing a fully automized characterization module for measuring high order TEM modes in optical setups. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with quantum technology specialists experienced in semiconductor nanotechnologies, quantum optics, photonics, and quantum computing.

The position involves hands-on work with optical components, 3D modeling, and Python programming in an international environment. You'll be responsible for system modeling, assembly, and optimization while working alongside experts in the field. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in quantum computing technology while contributing to groundbreaking developments in the field.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering, photonics, or physics, with practical experience in optical components and Python programming. You'll need to be creative, proactive, and comfortable working in an international team. Join us in shaping the future of quantum communication and computation while developing your skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
