Quick Release is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their "Special Projects" team, which serves as the company's in-house software development centre-of-excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on developing products for clients, tools for Analysts and Consultants, and internal software solutions.
The position requires a skilled developer who can contribute to a collaborative, project-based environment focused on solving data challenges in the automotive industry. The role demands 1-2 days per week working from a QR office, client site, or shared workspace, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
The technical stack is comprehensive and modern, including Python, Django, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Terraform, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Redis, and GitHub Actions. The team also maintains some legacy systems using VBA, C#, and R, providing variety in the technical challenges you'll face.
As a Senior Software Developer, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality software solutions, accelerating processes, and growing the team's technical capabilities. The role involves significant responsibility in mentoring less experienced team members and contributing to the company's knowledge base.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Developer
- Delivering on projects as part of a team of developers to create impactful products
- Writing robust and maintainable code
- Helping to shape internal processes and practices
- Collaborating with the wider QR team to help problem solve, define, deliver, and code review features
- Attending and leading sessions within the Special Projects daily stand-ups and monthly workshops
- Contributing to and learning from our knowledgebase
- Mentoring less experienced members of the team
Requirements For Senior Software Developer
- Professional experience with multiple key technologies
- Experience using the Python programming language
- Demonstrable history of designing and developing impactful applications
- Understanding of latest web development tools and techniques
- Writing maintainable code, testing and documenting thoroughly
- Experience with developing full-stack Django applications (preferred)
- Experience with AWS and Terraform (preferred)
