Applied AI Engineer / Services Intern

Our Applied AI Engineering team focuses on automating conversations to deliver outstanding customer experiences using advanced language models. Our Services team enables our customers by creating integrations and other solutions to help them make the most of Quiq's software. Our customers include some of the world's largest enterprises, and we're dedicated to helping them solve their toughest challenges.

As an AI Engineer / Services Intern at Quiq, you'll be an integral team member, working alongside junior, senior, and lead engineers to develop and deploy new features and fixes. You'll be provided with a mentor for the duration of the internship to ensure proper support. The goal is for interns to make their first production commit within their first week. You'll apply your Computer Science knowledge to solve real-world problems using our modern technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate with customer-owned systems such as Knowledge Bases and APIs to enable AI assistants to act intelligently and in some cases, autonomously.
• Code solutions by transforming customer knowledge using Generative AI; prepare, index and search reference data in vector databases.
• Create backend automations to provide high value for our customers.
• Collaborate with Senior engineers to create reliable AI solutions.
• Continuously enhance AI Assistants to meet and anticipate customer needs.
• Embrace learning opportunities and continuously expand your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Current Computer Science major
• Anticipated graduation with a Bachelor's degree in May 2026 (other timelines may be considered)
• Strong coding proficiency
• Demonstrated history of diligence and self-motivation
