Rackspace is seeking a Data Engineer III to join their Public Cloud - Offerings and Delivery – Cloud Data Services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies and cloud platforms. The position involves managing and operating various data tools including Tableau, Databricks, DBT, and AWS services.
The ideal candidate will lead operational coverage, handling everything from pipeline issues to proactive monitoring and implementing solutions. You'll be responsible for design, testing, and deployment of fixes while ensuring optimal cost and performance. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with excellent communication skills, as you'll be the primary point of contact for customers.
Working in a hybrid model with locations in Gurgaon and Bangalore, you'll be part of a dynamic team that manages cloud data platforms. The role requires working in rotational shifts (IST) and involves occasional travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities For Data Engineer III
- Resolving pipeline issues and proactive monitoring for sensitive batches
- Design, build, test and deploy fixes to non-production environment
- Cost / Performance optimization and Audit / Security including infrastructure changes
- Create/update Knowledgebase/runbooks as needed
- Monitor configuration changes to batches and infrastructure
- Lead and act as a POC for customer communication and escalation
- Handle user requests and change management
- Perform Incident Management, Problem Management, and Root Cause Analysis
Requirements For Data Engineer III
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in configuring and managing azure data analytics solution
- Experience with Tableau, Tableau bridge server, Databricks, Dbt, SSRS, SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS APP Flow, PowerBI
- Ability to read and write SQL and stored procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (IST)
- 30 days notice period
