Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer III to join their Portal & Automation Experience team. This role focuses on creating exceptional user experiences through modern web development, working on customer-facing platforms, enablement services, and multi-cloud applications. The position requires 7+ years of frontend development experience, with deep expertise in React, modern JavaScript, and UI/UX best practices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing responsive, accessible user interfaces, implementing design systems, and optimizing application performance. They will work closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create cohesive, user-centered applications. Responsibilities For Frontend Developer III (React JS with Portal & Automation Experience)
- Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, interactive web applications
- Implement and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides
- Optimize applications for maximum performance across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to refine and improve user experiences
- Work with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow
- Write comprehensive unit tests and participate in code reviews

Requirements For Frontend Developer III (React JS with Portal & Automation Experience)
- 7+ years of professional front-end development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- 3+ years of experience with modern CSS methodologies
- Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Strong understanding of React ecosystem (hooks, context, state management)
- Experience with build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, or similar)
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Strong eye for visual design and attention to detail
- Experience working with design systems and component-driven development
