Responsibilities For OpenStack Cloud Engineer - CAN

  • Provide high level technical support to customers via phone and ticketing system
  • Own complex customer issues and keep customers updated through resolution process
  • Lead cross-functional business continuity/transformational projects
  • Advise leadership in setting and executing technological strategy
  • Proactively assess and implement enhancements to system architecture
  • Review technical training for Rackspace Supported Cloud Products
  • Coach and mentor other Rackers across the business
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants
  • Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization tasks

Requirements For OpenStack Cloud Engineer - CAN

  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud Platform Products (OpenStack Ansible, Red Hat OSP, Kubernetes)
  • Advanced skills in Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, or Java

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux or Windows OS
  • Strong web programming and scripting ability
  • Strong automation skills with configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Strong understanding of services and protocols in hosting environments
  • English language fluency preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
