Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Infrastructure SRE team. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact one of the internet's most influential platforms. As an SRE, you'll leverage your expertise in distributed systems and architecture to enhance the reliability and performance of Reddit's engineering platforms and services. You'll also develop internal services that empower other engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate at Reddit's massive scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Advising engineering teams on designing resilient and high-performance systems
  2. Amplifying capabilities of foundational Infrastructure and Platform services
  3. Automating repetitive, manual, or risky tasks
  4. Diagnosing and fixing network, system, and service-level issues
  5. Optimizing performance, reducing costs, and improving user experience

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps, proficiency in programming languages (particularly Go and Python), and experience with Kubernetes and Cloud systems. Strong troubleshooting skills, Linux knowledge, and excellent communication abilities are essential.
