Job Description

Relativity Space is revolutionizing the space industry by building rockets through innovative manufacturing processes. As a Staff Network Engineer, you'll be integral to the Additive Technology team, working at the intersection of hardware and software to support their large-scale metal additive manufacturing platform. This role combines networking expertise with cutting-edge robotics and manufacturing technology, requiring you to architect and maintain critical infrastructure that powers their production environment.

You'll be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance networks that connect robotic systems, sensors, and edge compute devices throughout the manufacturing facility. This isn't a traditional IT role - you'll be solving unique challenges in a production environment where network performance and reliability are crucial to the manufacturing process.

The position offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of robotics, machine learning, and software engineers, while having direct impact on the company's manufacturing capabilities. You'll be involved in everything from low-latency communication systems to security compliance, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to apply their networking expertise to advanced manufacturing and space technology.

Working at Relativity Space means joining a company that's pushing the boundaries of both space technology and manufacturing. You'll have autonomy, ownership, and the chance to solve unprecedented challenges. The company offers competitive compensation ($163,000 - $215,600), equity, generous PTO, parental leave, and learning opportunities. This is a unique moment to join as the company scales up production of their Terran R rocket, allowing you to make a lasting impact on both the company and the space industry.
