As a Staff Robotics Software Engineer (3D Simulation), you'll join a pioneering team working on the intersection of robotics and additive manufacturing. The role focuses on developing sophisticated simulation platforms for their large-scale 3D printing systems used in rocket manufacturing.

The position sits within the additive technology team, which leads the development of Relativity's groundbreaking Stargate 3D-printing platform and factory operating system. You'll be working on a novel cooperative robotic platform that's fundamental to their large-scale additive manufacturing systems. The team prioritizes performance, simplicity, simulation/testing, and reusability in building cohesive interfaces with their equipment.

Your responsibilities will include developing complex robotics simulation platforms, analyzing and visualizing printing process data, and implementing new features while working closely with robotics software teams and weld technicians. This role requires extensive experience in graphics software development, user interface design, and robotic simulations.

Requirements For Staff Robotics Software Engineer (3D Simulation)

Linux
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years experience developing large-scale projects in C/C++
  • Solid knowledge of computer graphics and visualization techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to create 3D applications
  • Experience with building user interfaces
  • Expertise in exporting meshes, articulation hierarchies, bones, weights from CAD
  • Solid knowledge of the software development cycle, version control systems, CI/CD, and testing
