Junior Software Developer - Short Term / Temp - Remote

Riptide Technology is hiring a surge Junior Software Developer for short-term remote work supporting the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) capabilities of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) Nimitz Operational Intelligence Command (OIC). This role provides IT support services including tier 1 through 3 on-call support, planning and scheduling, customer/user support, systems engineering, software engineering, system administration, database administration, and system/software testing.

The ideal candidate must have web frontend development experience with JavaScript and Python. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, utilizing Java coding skills, troubleshooting application deployment, and contributing to development meetings. The role also involves working with government off-the-shelf (GOTS), modified off-the-shelf (MOTS), and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software on both unclassified and classified ONI systems.

Key qualifications include:

• BS in Computer Science (Preferred) with 2+ years of recent related IT experience
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• 2+ years of experience in web frontend development
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Docker containers, and REST APIs
• Background in DoD software development preferred
• Experience with Scrum project management methodology

This position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $135,000 a year, with excellent benefits including 6 weeks PTO, immediately fully vested 401k with 10% company contribution, paid training, and 100% company-paid dental and vision insurance.
