Job Description

Rise8 is seeking a Platform Engineer II to join our team in transforming the United States Government. As a Platform Engineer II, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing automated configuration and deployment processes, managing administrator and service accounts, and utilizing scripting tools to craft self-service capabilities within the Platform as a Service (PaaS). You'll work closely with developers to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, take operational responsibility for services under your team's ownership, and continuously enhance the product to meet user needs effectively.

We're looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience in cloud/platform operations or related roles, or someone who has recently completed their PhD in a technical field. You should be proficient in administering Azure Gov Cloud environments, container orchestration (specifically Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools with a focus on Terraform. Strong Linux Operating Systems administration skills and experience with networking concepts are essential.

At Rise8, we believe that customer experience starts with employee experience. We offer competitive pay and benefits, invest in employee growth, and provide a unique culture you won't find elsewhere. We're certified as a Great Place to Work, with 100% of employees saying they love working here.

Our methodology is about experimenting and learning, and our culture is empowering. We work in small teams, rotate frequently, and pair Risers with their customer counterparts to elevate people and teams and deliver results fast and forever.

If you're passionate about high-speed security, care about risk management over compliance, and enjoy collaborative teams and daily decision-making, we want to hear from you. Join us in our mission to deploy critical outcomes to prod and drive relentless progress towards a better world.
