Responsibilities For Senior Electrical Designer/Engineer - Stations

  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, guidance and oversight to the Substation/Primary/Electrical Group
  • Design and implement automation systems in electrical facilities
  • Create detailed engineering scope documents
  • Design electrical substation facilities including site and buswork layouts
  • Apply knowledge of components and standards to complete design packages
  • Deliver accurate designs meeting industry standards
  • Plan layout of electrical facilities
  • Identify and specify materials and equipment
  • Ensure designs are compatible with construction practices

Requirements For Senior Electrical Designer/Engineer - Stations

  • Degree in electrical engineering or related engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration required
  • 7+ years of experience in Utilities or related electrical industries
  • Proficient in medium/high voltage power engineering
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Eligible for registration with APEGGA or ASET
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with computer-assisted engineering and design software
  • Experience in construction and field installations (preferred)
