Senior Staff Software Developer

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Staff Software Developer to join their Software Platform (SP) team in Toronto. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of financial technology at a company managing the largest wealth transfer in human history. As the senior-most individual contributor for the SP organization in Toronto, you'll lead technical strategy across five core teams: Networking, Observability, Compute, Provisioning, and Storage.

The position focuses on building foundational infrastructure and developer platforms that power all of Robinhood's products. You'll be responsible for increasing developer velocity and ensuring system reliability at scale by delivering robust, scalable, and secure systems. The role requires expertise in cloud-native technologies and a proven track record of technical leadership.

Your impact will be significant as you'll own roadmapping, architecture, and drive technical strategy for foundational systems. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Infrastructure to solve critical challenges in scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency. The role offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of 213,000 - 250,000 CAD, plus bonus opportunities and equity.

This is an in-office position in Toronto, where you'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, and gRPC. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Staff or Senior Staff role. Your expertise in system design, architecture at scale, and ability to influence diverse technical stakeholders will be crucial for success.
