Job Description

Roboflow is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Research Engineer to join their team and drive research initiatives that improve their growing suite of machine learning tools for computer vision applications. This role involves adapting and extending open-source machine learning technologies into usable and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute research initiatives centered around the Roboflow 100 object detection benchmark
  • Implement research findings into the Roboflow application
  • Work on building and maintaining technology within Roboflow's training, search, and deployment services
  • Contribute to enterprise contracts and open-source projects

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning Research tools: PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, TFjs, YOLO, Transformers, COCO
  • Experience with Backend + Cloud technologies: Node.js, Docker, Python, Flask, pip, REST, AWS, GCP
  • 3+ years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate is a curious self-starter who wants to be part of an exceptional team, focusing on using Roboflow's computer vision tools to impact and improve every industry. The role will be split 50% on machine learning research and 50% on implementing research results into the Roboflow application.

Responsibilities For Applied Machine Learning Research Engineer

  • Drive research initiatives to improve Roboflow's suite of machine learning tools

Requirements For Applied Machine Learning Research Engineer

Python
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in machine learning and computer vision
  • Proficiency in PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, TFjs, YOLO, Transformers, and COCO
  • Experience with backend and cloud technologies: Node.js, Docker, Python, Flask, REST APIs, AWS, and GCP
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on abstract problems
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
