Job Description

Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation with over 28,000 employees, is seeking an Embedded Engineering Co-Op for a 7-month position from January 2026 to August 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of software and hardware, developing and improving products in an agile environment. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor to help navigate the codebase and overcome challenges.

The position involves hands-on experience with embedded systems development, working alongside industry professionals on real-world projects. You'll gain exposure to various software engineering practices including object-oriented design, full development lifecycle, agile methodology, system design, and test-driven development. Requirements For Co-op, Embedded Software Engineer

Python
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to work full time from January 2026 to August 2026
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Engineering or similar
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Knowledge of Industrial automation environments including PLC
