Job Description
Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in Embedded Software. This role combines DevOps, software engineering, quality assurance, and IT operations skills, focusing on managing tooling and infrastructure support for Logix controllers. The position is part of the Embedded Software organization, reporting to the Manager of Software Test Engineering.

Responsibilities For Project Engineer, Embedded software
- Build and maintain automation pipelines and workflows
- Create automated scripts for testing and deployment processes
- Managing and provisioning cloud infrastructure and services
- Automate security controls and configuration management
- Write code to automate repetitive tasks
- Participate as a member of an agile team within the Scaled Agile Framework
- Integrate and analyze application performance metrics and logs
- Perform routine audits to ensure quality, reliability and security standards
- Tune and scale systems for performance
- Develop policies, procedures and training programs
- Partner with development teams to construct testable requirements
Requirements For Project Engineer, Embedded software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- 8+ years of Test/DevOps experience
- Experience with Azure cloud implementations
- Experience using tools like qTest, GitHub, Gitlab, artifactory, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, Grafana
- Background in Test and Quality Engineering
- Experience in Technical Leadership in a team environment
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Legal authorization to work in the US
