Job Description

Rolls-Royce, an iconic brand with over a century of innovation, is seeking a Control System Verification Engineer to join their Software Systems Capability function. This role involves specifying, verifying, and validating complex sub-systems, including creating mathematical models and simulations of control and actuation systems. The position is based in Solihull or Derby, UK, offering a hybrid working model with an average of three days per week in the office.

As a Control Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality controls sub-system work and associated integration artifacts. The role requires strong analytical skills to ensure system implementation meets validated requirements through design decomposition and test development. You'll work closely with various stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to support system releases and problem investigations.

Responsibilities For Control System Verification Engineer

  • Create approved requirement verification strategies for system requirements
  • Allocate control system requirements to test vehicles
  • Analyze control system functional behavior including modeling and simulation
  • Develop and review control system tests
  • Execute control system tests and document verification evidence
  • Analyze verification test results against requirements
  • Provide targeted testing for problem investigation and customer issues
  • Liaise with other disciplines for root cause analysis
  • Engage with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Participate in capacity planning and strategic goals development
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and tools
