Senior Software Engineer I - New Product

Samsara, a NYSE-listed company (IOT), is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I for their Automation team to work on their Connected Operations™ Cloud platform. This role focuses on building scalable infrastructure and developing new orchestration capabilities across backend-heavy systems and user-facing surfaces. The position offers the opportunity to shape how thousands of customers automate their operations through the Samsara platform.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies including GoLang, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and ReactNative, though direct experience with these specific technologies is not required. The successful candidate will be part of a team that impacts industries representing over 40% of global GDP, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include architecting and delivering full-stack features, maintaining production systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of industry experience, strong backend development skills, and experience with large-scale systems architecture. They should also demonstrate a commitment to mentoring fellow engineers and have a track record of delivering project milestones effectively.
