Software Engineer, Full Stack - Safety Triage & Insights

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Safety Triage & Insights team to develop systems and customer-facing products across web, mobile, and API surfaces. The role focuses on helping fleets identify unsafe driving behaviors and recognize positive driving habits through IoT data analysis and AI/ML implementation.

The team is expanding beyond detection and remediation to develop intelligent, proactive insights that enable fleets to transition from reactive coaching to strategic, data-driven safety management. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including LLMs to analyze safety events, surface patterns, and distill insights that help safety managers focus on what truly matters.

As part of a recently public company, you'll have significant autonomy while working on systems that directly impact real-world safety outcomes. The position offers exposure to a wide technology stack including Golang, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and MySQL, though prior experience with these specific technologies isn't required.

The role combines technical challenges like integrating LLMs and scaling systems with direct customer impact - you'll have opportunities to participate in customer interviews and use metrics to ensure solutions deliver meaningful outcomes.
