Job Description

Saronic Technologies, a pioneer in defense autonomy at sea, is seeking a Corporate Security Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role combines software engineering with cybersecurity expertise, focusing on designing and implementing enterprise-wide security solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art maritime defense technology while building and automating critical security infrastructure.

The role requires a strong background in security engineering and software development, with expertise in Python, PowerShell, and infrastructure as code tools. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining security systems, from endpoint protection to identity management, while working closely with various teams to scale security operations.

Responsibilities For Corporate Security Engineer

  • Design & maintain UEM/MDM policies and endpoint security baselines
  • Develop & automate security workflows and infrastructure as code (Python, PowerShell, Terraform)
  • Integrate identity and access management (Entra, Azure) into corporate systems
  • Implement & optimize network controls (VPNs, firewalls)
  • Build dashboards and reporting for asset inventory, compliance, and security metrics
  • Support vulnerability management: automate scanning, patch orchestration, and remediation tracking
  • Collaborate with SOC and Insider Threat on engineering driven response playbooks
  • Maintain IaC repositories for security tooling and environment configurations
  • Evaluate & pilot emerging security technologies and platforms

Requirements For Corporate Security Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of security engineering, systems administration, or DevSecOps experience
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with UEM platforms (Jamf, Intune), identity providers, and security APIs
  • Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewall policies) and endpoint controls
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; able to translate technical requirements for stakeholders
  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) are a plus
