Job Description

Seco Tools, a global leader in advanced cutting tools and solutions, is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to join their Operations Technology & Industrial IoT department in Fagersta, Sweden. This role is at the forefront of driving digital transformation towards Industry 4.0 in their cutting tool production.

The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing, focusing on increasing automation and implementing various digitalization and visualization solutions. As a Connectivity Engineer, you'll be responsible for connecting production equipment to their Production Data Platform (PDP), working with cutting-edge technologies including IIoT, Edge Computing, and server environments.

The ideal candidate combines an engineering background with expertise in digitalization and modern technology application. You'll work closely with production engineers to identify and connect relevant signals for streaming data from production processes, while implementing integration solutions with surrounding systems. The role requires proficiency in C# and Python, along with knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networks.

Working in a global environment, you'll collaborate with IT, Maintenance, and the global Operations organization across different production units worldwide. The company offers a flexible work arrangement with the possibility to combine office presence with remote work.

Responsibilities For Connectivity Engineer

  • Responsible for connecting machines and production equipment to the Production Data Platform (PDP)

Requirements For Connectivity Engineer

Python
  • Engineering degree with knowledge in digitalization and new technology application
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networks
  • Software development skills in C# and Python
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
  • Analytical and structured work approach
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with innovative problem-solving
