Job Description
SELECT, founded in 2022, offers a Snowflake optimization and cost management platform used by data teams at companies like CarGurus and Vimeo. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will collaborate with a small team to identify and solve customer problems, focusing on high-impact outcomes. Responsibilities include gathering customer feedback, taking end-to-end ownership of features from design to delivery, and iterating quickly to drive results. You will work on features such as cost management tools, UI components, data visualization, and data pipelines. The role involves improving application reliability and performance, ensuring high-quality work while maintaining speed and focus. This is a remote position based in Canada, with opportunities for in-person team gatherings twice a year. The compensation ranges from CA$150K to CA$220K, with equity offered between 0.1% and 0.5%. SELECT uses a modern tech stack including Typescript, React.js, Python, and cloud technologies. This is a great opportunity to join a growing B2B SaaS startup and make a significant impact on the product.
Responsibilities
- Identify the right problems to solve, focusing on meaningful outcomes
- Engage with future and existing customers to gather feedback
- Take end-to-end ownership for features from start to finish
- Use expertise to iterate at speed
- Set a high bar for collaboration, communication, and sound decision making
- Create new cost management features
- Develop reusable and robust UI components
- Build new data visualization capabilities
- Build data pipelines and dbt models
- Improve the reliability & performance of our application
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer
- Tenure at a B2B SaaS startup under 250 employees
