Job Description

Selecta, Europe's leading provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food solutions, is seeking a Coffee Equipment Engineer/Field Service Technician for their Technical Department in Liverpool. Operating across 16 European countries and serving 12 million people daily, Selecta is a trusted partner for approximately 3,500 UK businesses.

The role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, requiring a skilled professional who can handle both the mechanical aspects of coffee machine maintenance and client relationships. As a Coffee Equipment Engineer, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing coffee vending machines across various client locations, from workplaces to schools, universities, and hospitals.

Key responsibilities include performing installations with proper setup and calibration, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and providing client training. You'll also manage inventory of spare parts and maintain detailed service records. The position requires strong technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication capabilities.

  • Install coffee vending machines at client locations, ensuring proper setup and calibration
  • Provide training to clients on machine operation and basic troubleshooting
  • Perform routine maintenance on coffee vending machines
  • Replace worn-out components and ensure hygiene standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in coffee machines
  • Conduct efficient repairs and minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain a stock of spare parts, tools, and cleaning supplies
  • Accurately document inventory usage and report shortages
