Shell, a global leader in energy and petrochemical companies with over 96,000 employees worldwide, is seeking an Associate Engineer specializing in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) at their Dela Rosa Street office in Philippines. This role represents an exciting opportunity to join Shell's technical operations team, focusing on maintaining and managing crucial instrumentation data for oil and gas facilities.

The position involves working with complex maintenance activities related to field instruments, analyzer instruments, and control system instruments using SmartPlant Instrumentation (INTOOLS). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing JB schedules, loop diagrams, specification updates, and instrument index maintenance, while ensuring high equipment reliability and plant technical availability.

Responsibilities For Associate Engineer - SPI

  • Support technical assurance for maintenance according to technical standards
  • Provide Engineering support to Production Operations
  • Update and maintain instrumentation data records in SPI
  • Execute quality checks on project data
  • Manage SPI templates, tables and database
  • Support role in assuring as-built documentation
  • Update SPI with as-built information from plant changes
  • Provide user support and training
  • Review/repair discrepancies between GSAP and SPI

Requirements For Associate Engineer - SPI

  • University Degree in Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical or related degree
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation
  • Experience with field instrumentation, control valves, DCS/IPS system
  • Expert with SPI, CAD and GSAP tools
  • Knowledge of ISA standards and National Electric Code
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in Technical Data and Documents management
  • Virtual working experience
  • Understanding of Bow ties, Hazard Analysis (HAZOP) and Management of Change
