Shell is seeking an Associate Engineer - SPI to join their Projects and Technology team. This role focuses on maintaining and managing instrumentation data using SmartPlant Instrumentation (INTOOLS) in the oil and gas industry. The position involves working with field instruments, analyzer instruments, and control system instruments while ensuring high equipment reliability and plant technical availability.

The role combines technical expertise in instrumentation with database management skills, requiring the successful candidate to maintain and update critical systems, perform quality checks, and coordinate with various stakeholders. Responsibilities For Associate Engineer - SPI

  • Support technical assurance for maintenance according to technical standards
  • Maintain and update SPI/INTOOLS database with as-built information
  • Provide engineering support to Production Operations
  • Execute quality checks on project data
  • Manage SPI templates, tables and database
  • Update and maintain instrumentation data records
  • Support role in assuring as-built documentation
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and conduct Risk Assessment
  • Prepare JB schedule, Loop diagrams, and specification updates

Requirements For Associate Engineer - SPI

  • University Degree in Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical or related field
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings
  • Experience with SPI, CAD and GSAP tools
  • Knowledge of ISA standards and National Electric Code
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge in practical application of instruments
  • Virtual working experience
  • Understanding of Bow ties, Hazard Analysis (HAZOP) and Management of Change
