Description For Autonomy Engineer

Responsibilities For Autonomy Engineer

  • Develop algorithms for autonomous air traffic management and hazard avoidance functions
  • Define logical architectures and functional interfaces
  • Validate functional and performance requirements
  • Coordinate with software engineers for simulation infrastructure
  • Integrate autonomy functions into the broader system
  • Execute computational experiments for function validation
  • Progress autonomy functions from conception to prototype development

Requirements For Autonomy Engineer

Python
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or STEM discipline
  • Research experience in problem statements and state of the art analyses
  • Experience with software and algorithm development in Python and C/C++
  • Experience with mathematical modelling and vehicle kinematics/dynamics
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink model-based software development
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and unit testing
  • Experience with software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) simulation
