Job Description

Snowplow Analytics, the global leader in customer data infrastructure for AI, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their AI team. This role focuses on building Snowplow Signals, their new solution for real-time, AI-powered customer experiences. The position involves developing and maintaining dbt packages, building data pipelines, and working with both batch and streaming data processing. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Python skills, experience with data modeling tools like DBT, and familiarity with cloud technologies. Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Developing and maintaining production SQL data models using dbt
  • Building and optimizing real-time and batch data pipelines
  • Building out the company's offering around data modeling
  • Supporting prospect/customer facing teams
  • Participating in decision making on product development
  • Developing and productizing data models focusing on scalability and performance

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • Mastery of SQL including large data set manipulation and performance tuning
  • Experience with batch and streaming data processing using tools like Benthos
  • Understanding of feature engineering and management
  • Extensive experience with Python
  • Experience with CI/CD and Git source control
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery)
  • Experience with modern data modeling technology (DBT)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for remote work
