Architect / Sr. Software Engineer, Gen AI

Solventum, formerly 3M Healthcare, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Generative AI to join their Gen-AI Solutions team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of AI in healthcare, working at the intersection of health, material, and data science.

The position involves architecting and deploying cutting-edge Generative AI systems for strategic global customers. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technologies including LLMs, RAG, and various ML frameworks. The role requires expertise in implementing scalable, high-performance AI solutions using tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores, and MLFlow.

As a senior member of the team, you'll be responsible for optimizing model performance, implementing advanced prompt engineering techniques, and configuring complex data retrieval systems. You'll collaborate closely with scientists, product managers, and customer ML teams to drive innovation and delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software/ML engineering experience, deep Python expertise, and hands-on experience with modern AI technologies. You should be comfortable leading teams, mentoring others, and evangelizing AI capabilities through various channels.
