AI Software Engineer, Vehicle Engineering

SpaceX is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join their Vehicle Engineering team as a founding member of their Artificial Intelligence Software Engineering initiative. This role represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and space technology, directly contributing to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

The position involves developing cutting-edge AI systems that will accelerate various aspects of spacecraft and launch vehicle development. You'll be working with Large Language Models (LLMs), implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and developing machine learning solutions for analyzing time-series data from space hardware. The role encompasses both utilizing existing AI technologies and creating new in-house solutions.

As an AI Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building systems that support the world's largest satellite constellation and contribute to the development of rockets capable of Mars missions. The work involves close collaboration with engineers across SpaceX, creating AI solutions that unlock engineering bottlenecks and transform data utilization throughout the company.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $120,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on level and experience.
