Description For Avionics Systems Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for their revolutionary Starship program. As part of the Starship Avionics Team, you'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of vehicle avionics, from design and production to launch and recovery.

You'll work with power distribution systems, vehicle networks, onboard sensors, actuators, compute systems, RF, and video systems. Responsibilities For Avionics Systems Engineer (Starship)

  • Represent the Starship avionics system throughout all stages of integration, from production and test through GO for launch
  • Triage, troubleshoot, root cause, and repair electrical hardware issues on an aggressive production schedule
  • Support vehicle pad and flight operations as avionics operator
  • Contribute to new avionics vehicle architectures that minimize mass, cost, and labor

Requirements For Avionics Systems Engineer (Starship)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, science, or math
  • 2+ years of experience with electrical component design, system level integration
  • 1+ years of experience using software tools such as Matlab, C++ or Python
  • Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, and electrical components
  • Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding atmosphere
