Job Description

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to join their Starlink team. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability of ground antenna hardware for the world's largest satellite constellation. As part of SpaceX's mission to make humanity multi-planetary, you'll work on technology that provides fast, reliable internet to millions worldwide.

The position sits at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, thermal analysis, software, and antenna engineering. You'll be responsible for ensuring that ground antenna hardware can withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining reliable communication with users globally. This involves designing test solutions, conducting failure analyses, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance hardware.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in electrical engineering and hardware development who wants to make a significant impact on global internet infrastructure. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology and have the chance to contribute to SpaceX's mission of expanding human presence beyond Earth.

The role offers hands-on experience with advanced hardware systems and the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art test equipment. You'll be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in satellite communications, while ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure used by millions of users worldwide.

The position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to be comfortable with both detailed technical work and cross-functional collaboration. The role is based in Bastrop, TX, and may require occasional travel to ground network sites for investigations.
