Job Description

SpaceX is seeking a Principal RFIC Engineer to join their Starshield team, focusing on advanced development programs in support of U.S. National Security. This role combines cutting-edge RF/analog/mixed-signal circuit design with space technology applications, making it an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space communications.

The position involves developing next-generation RFICs for deployment in space and ground infrastructures globally. Working in SpaceX's fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll be tackling unsolved problems and applying the company's rapid iteration methodology to move quickly from design to operational capability.

As a Principal RFIC Engineer, you'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of RF integrated circuits, from initial design and simulation through to production release. This includes working with various technologies such as SiGe, GaAs, GaN, and CMOS processes, while collaborating with system architects and other engineering teams to create optimal solutions.

The role offers a competitive compensation package starting from $200,000 to $270,000 annually, with additional benefits including equity opportunities, comprehensive healthcare, and retirement plans. Those with active security clearances may receive additional compensation up to $15,000 annually.

This position is perfect for someone who combines deep technical expertise in RF circuit design with a passion for space technology and national security applications. You'll be working at the forefront of space communication technology, contributing to SpaceX's mission of advancing human space exploration while supporting critical national security initiatives through the Starshield program.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of professional RF integrated circuit experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to ITAR regulations, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved.
