Job Description

SpaceX is seeking an RF Software Engineer to join their Starshield team, focusing on national security efforts. This role combines RF engineering with software development to support advanced space technology programs. The position involves working on proliferated communications and remote sensing in low earth orbit, leveraging SpaceX's Starlink technology for government applications. The role requires expertise in both RF systems and software development, working in a fast-paced environment to design and implement RF capabilities.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of hardware and software, developing test automation, characterizing RF systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers competitive compensation with two levels: Level I ($120,000-$145,000) and Level II ($140,000-$170,000), plus a 10% differential for active TS/SCI clearance holders. The role includes comprehensive benefits such as medical coverage, stock options, and retirement plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers interested in space technology and national security applications, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge satellite communications systems while contributing to SpaceX's broader mission of advancing space exploration. The position requires a combination of technical skills in RF engineering and software development, with opportunities for growth and impact in a rapidly evolving field.
