Job Description

SpaceX is seeking a Senior MMIC Design Engineer to join their innovative team working on the Starlink satellite constellation project. This role is crucial in developing cutting-edge next-generation MMICs for deployment in space and ground infrastructures globally, enabling connectivity in previously underserved areas.

The position involves working with world-class cross-disciplinary teams, including systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, and product engineering professionals. You'll be responsible for developing MMIC products from initial specification to mass production, ensuring full compatibility with system requirements. The role requires expertise in RF/microwave circuit design, particularly in GaAs and GaN MMIC design of linear and non-linear circuits.

Responsibilities For Sr. MMIC Design Engineer (Silicon Engineering)

  • Derive hardware specifications for the RF system and MMIC blocks
  • Develop MMIC products from initial specification to mass production
  • Simulate/model MMIC front end circuits at circuit and electromagnetic level
  • Determine packaging and implementation of MMIC's
  • Evaluate, characterize, and analyze MMIC prototypes
  • Assist in development of automated test equipment
  • Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing

Requirements For Sr. MMIC Design Engineer (Silicon Engineering)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of research and/or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design
  • Experience with GaAs and/or GaN MMIC design of linear and non-linear circuits
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary
