This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability of avionics hardware across SpaceX's fleet of vehicles, including Dragon, Falcon, Starship, and Lunar Human Landing System, in challenging radiation environments. The position combines expertise in radiation effects with hands-on engineering work, supporting SpaceX's mission of enabling human space exploration and establishing a permanent presence on the Moon and Mars.

The role involves working with cutting-edge space technology, performing comprehensive analysis, design, and testing at various hardware levels. Responsibilities For Sr. Radiation Effects Engineer

  • Support cross-discipline team in providing radiation test and analysis results
  • Develop component databases and applications for radiation test data
  • Work with supply chain and component reliability teams
  • Review PCN changes for radiation qualification status
  • Develop testing and reporting standards

Requirements For Sr. Radiation Effects Engineer
