SpaceX is seeking a Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to join their Starlink Payload Engineering team. This role is crucial in developing the world's most advanced broadband internet system through satellite technology. The position involves comprehensive ownership of signal and power integrity throughout the entire hardware lifecycle of Starlink's connectivity systems.
The role sits at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, thermal analysis, software, and antenna/RF engineering. Key responsibilities include IP evaluation in silicon architecture, package performance evaluation, stackup material selection, channel and PDN architecture, and PCB layout oversight. The engineer will work with cutting-edge technologies including 10 to 112+ Gbps SERDES, high-speed memory interfaces, and complex power delivery networks.
As a subject matter expert, you'll define design, analysis, and verification processes for the Starlink team. The position requires collaboration with various engineering teams, including RF, antenna, ASIC, packaging, mechanical, thermal, and software engineers. You'll be responsible for architecting new products with novel channels, interfaces, and power delivery strategies.
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary range of $130,000 - $180,000, plus potential stock options, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid parental leave, and vacation time. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience, strong expertise in high-speed digital design, and proven experience with 3D EM simulation tools.
