As a Senior Backend Engineer at Speak, you'll be at the forefront of developing novel AI-powered product experiences. This role combines backend expertise with full-stack capabilities, focusing on creating scalable systems and working closely with product, design, and machine learning teams. You'll be instrumental in building our programmatic, conversationally-driven language learning products.

Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer
- Building novel AI-driven product experiences and user interfaces on the web
- Full-stack engineering, focused on creating scalable backend systems
- Debugging complex streaming issues
- Owning the entire development cycle of features, from conception to production
- Writing code quickly and shipping frequently
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer
- 5+ years of industry experience as a Backend Engineer
- Experience in fast-paced startup environment preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong product sense
- Ability to coach and mentor other engineers
