Senior Software Engineer SRE

Spire Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer SRE to join their Space Reliability Engineering team in Glasgow, UK. The role focuses on protecting and improving the reliable operation of Spire's constellation of satellites, ground stations, and software through vigilant monitoring of availability, latency, performance, and capacity.

As a Software Engineer in the Space Reliability Engineering team, you'll work in an agile environment developing systems and tools that enhance satellite fleet efficiency. Key responsibilities include creating operational automation for mission execution, developing data platforms for analytics, analyzing telemetry data, and maintaining configuration control of space assets.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python skills and familiarity with Linux systems. Experience with data backends (S3, RDS, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch), containerization, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus) is highly valued.
