Sprinter Health, a rapidly growing healthcare technology company that has raised $70M+ from prominent investors, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead their Clinical Data Platform team. Since launching in 2021, they've served 50,000+ patients, grown 6x in 2024, and cover 60%+ of the U.S. population. They've partnered with 6 of the top 10 largest U.S. health plans.
The role offers a ground-floor opportunity to architect and build systems that directly impact millions of patients' lives. You'll be working at the intersection of data, healthcare, and operations, tackling challenges like developing predictive patient risk models, implementing LLM-powered clinical summaries, and standardizing data across various healthcare formats.
The tech stack includes modern tools like Airflow, AWS Glue, BigQuery, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch, with development primarily in Python, TypeScript, and SQL. The role requires 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in scalable data systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, and database technologies. Healthcare data experience (FHIR, HL7, C-CDA) is a plus but not required.
The position offers competitive compensation ($180,000-$230,000), comprehensive benefits including 100% covered family health premiums, 401(k) matching, and generous parental leave. The work environment is hybrid (3 days in-office in Menlo Park), with perks like free daily lunch and regular team events.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior data professional who wants to make a meaningful impact in healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and building a team from the ground up.
