Lead Java Developer - Assistant Vice President

State Street Global Markets is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their GLFX development team as an Assistant Vice President. This role is part of their Global Link function, which provides multi-bank electronic trading platforms and solutions for institutional & retail clients.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with extensive experience in building and maintaining high-performance, low-latency applications in a distributed node architecture. You'll be working with core Java, message brokers, and will need strong troubleshooting skills. The role requires someone who can navigate complex codebases and work effectively under pressure while communicating across all business lines.

As a Lead Java Developer, you'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, working closely with product owners to evolve State Street's foreign exchange trading platforms. The position requires expert-level knowledge of server-side Java, including OOPS, socket programming, multi-threading, and API gateways. Experience with FX/Equity trading, OMS, and FIX engine integration is highly desired.
