Criss Cross: Fullstack Engineer

CrissCross, an independently operated startup under the Stitch umbrella, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their innovative team. We're building a groundbreaking global money movement and FX platform that leverages stablecoin infrastructure to simplify cross-border settlement.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be instrumental in shaping our technical landscape, taking full ownership of features across our entire stack. You'll work with modern technologies including AWS, React, Golang, and Temporal, building systems that serve both external clients and our internal trading team. The role demands someone who is passionate about performance, code quality, and creating reliable tools.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain technology. You'll be part of a team that's revolutionizing cross-border payments and settlements. Our tech stack is modern and robust, primarily utilizing Golang for backend development, TypeScript/React for frontend work, and Python for specific functionalities, all deployed on AWS infrastructure using Docker and Temporal.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of industry experience, strong backend development skills, and a solid understanding of cloud-native environments. While cryptocurrency and trading experience is a plus, we value your expertise in building scalable, maintainable systems and your ability to work effectively in a startup environment. Based in Cape Town, we offer a flexible hybrid working model with 1-2 days in office, combining the benefits of remote work with collaborative in-person interactions.
