Description For Internship - Lean Engineer

Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems is a world-leading technology company and provider of innovative industrial and off-road energy storage solutions, with 30+ years of experience. We specialize in the development and production of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries for industrial mobility, leisure mobility, and ESS applications. These products are manufactured and assembled in Sunlight's state-of-the-art facilities in Greece, Italy, Germany, Israel, and USA, and distributed to more than 115 countries.

We're looking to hire a Lean Engineer to join our Production Management Team in Colognola ai Colli, Verona, Italy. The right incumbent will be responsible for implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles within the company's production processes.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identify areas within the production process that can benefit from lean manufacturing principles
  • Investigate and drive initiatives together with local stakeholders, define best-practices and trigger implementation
  • Upgrade existing standard operating processes / production methods to achieve reduction of production cost
  • Ensure the implementation of agreed targets and roadmaps according to our Lean program
  • Continuous learning of key developments in Lean
  • Contribute to building and sustaining a culture of engagement in all levels of the business
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing mindset across the local organization by engaging teams and individuals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Good technical skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work in projects that involve a combination of technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, and automation
