Description For Graphics Software Engineer (Flexible Location)

SUSE, a global leader in enterprise open source solutions, is seeking a Graphics Software Engineer to join their Hardware Enablement Team. This role focuses on maintaining and developing the graphics stack for SUSE Linux Enterprise and openSUSE distributions. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in graphics, including Wayland, Mesa, and remote desktop applications.

The role is part of a diverse, global team of about a dozen people working on various hardware components, from GPUs to specific hardware architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong C programming skills, experience with system-level programming, and a passion for open source development. They will contribute to important projects involving graphics components, collaborate with upstream communities, and engage with SUSE partners.

Responsibilities For Graphics Software Engineer (Flexible Location)

  • Development of new code and backporting to older releases
  • Bug analysis and bug fixing
