Founding Engineer

Tabular is leading a revolutionary change in accounting since double-entry bookkeeping in 1494, leveraging AI to handle accounting's unstructured data and language-based rules autonomously. As a founding engineer, you'll be at the forefront of this transformation, working with a small but highly capable team of 5 people.

The role offers unique opportunities to build foundational systems, including:

• Developing robust backend systems handling thousands of daily transactions
• Implementing and optimizing AI approaches for accounting automation
• Working directly with customers to understand and solve real accounting pain points
• Building the core architecture of their autonomous-accounting engine
• Setting engineering standards and patterns for future team members
